Yvonne Dianne West

May 20, 1957 — November 27, 2012

Memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday December 3, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

Miss west was born on May 20, 1957 in Safford, Arizona to John and Ella Mae Dowdy.  She grew up in California and moved to Amarillo in 1971 where she graduated from Caprock High School in 1974.  She then attended Amarillo College graduating in 1998 with a vocational nursing license.  She was employed in the healthcare profession for over 30 years and loved taking care of the many veterans that came through the hospital doors.  She was deeply decoted to the nursing profession taking time to nurture not only the sick but their families as well.  Yvonne loved being a grandmother always involving herself in her grandchildren's athletic events.  She loved gaming and could not stand to watch her beloved Dallas Cowboys lose.  Yvonne loved traveling the country, playing in pool tournaments and was a real people person.  Miss West was a beloved mother, sister, sister-in-law and friend.  She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.  Reception to follow service at 3:30 p,m. at Amarillo Fellowship Chruch, 405 S. Western.  ALl family and friends are invited to come join in Dianne's life celebration.

She is preceded in death by her father and 1 brother John Dale Brandstatt.

She is survived by her mother, Ella Mae Dowdy of Amarillo; 1 son, Jeremy West of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Jessica Barnett adn husband Carl of Jacksonville, NC and Brandy Jones and husband Calvin of Amarillo and 8 grandchildren.
