Woodie Woods

April 14, 1924 — August 31, 2012

Graveside services will be at  10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Jess Roan officiating.  Viewing will be from 12:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

William Jasper “Woodie” Woods was born on April 14, 1924 in Dickens County Texas unto William and Freda Woods. Of this union they were blessed with a daughter Jonell and a son Ron. Woodie joined the Army Air Corp on Feb. 18, 1943. Her served as a radar operator and was honorably discharged on Feb. 25, 1946. Woodie was a barber for 62 years. He loved watching John Wayne and war movies. He also was a talented woodworker.
He is survived by his daughter Jonell Woods Brissaud, a son Ron Woods, two grandsons Harley Woods all of Amarillo, TX and Andre Brissaud of Ft. Worth, TX
