Winona Estelle Olsson, 81, of Amarillo, died on Thursday, April 16, 2015. Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 20, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Pastor Rick Harrison officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Winona was born on March 1, 1934 in Mullin, TX to Ross and Velma Vaughan. She graduated from Portales High School in 1953 and married Glenn Olsson on May 31, 1953 in Portales. Winona was a housewife and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Texas Longhorns. Winona loved children and taught kindergarten and the Sunday school classes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Larry.
She is survived by her husband Glenn; two sons, Odie Olsson of Lubbock and Stanley Olsson of Amarillo; a brother, O.A. Vaughan of Canutillo, TX and a sister, Lanona Booher of Mullin; six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
