Visitation will be 6-7 PM Sunday October 14, 2012  in LaGrone Blackburn Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel  8310 S. Coulter Rd, Amarillo Texas

Funeral service will be at  3 PM Monday October 15, 2012 in LaGrone Blackburn Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel  8310 S. Coulter Rd, Amarillo Texas. With Chaplain Sherman Eastland officiating.

Willie Lee Whitt was born on June 6, 1918 in Ladonia, Texas to Connie and Link Hendricks Kessler. She was raised and educated in the Ladonia area. She met and married Henry Grady Whitt and they moved to the Bovina and Friona Texas area and finally settled in Amarillo in 1945. She was a homemaker and also worked in the laundry and dry cleaning business and was known for being an excellent ironer. Willie was a simple Christian woman who had a strong faith in God. She was a member of the Church at Quail Creek. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her daughter Barbara Ann Whitt

Survivors include a son Earl Douglas Whitt and his wife Connie of Amarillo. Granddaughters Sheila Murphy and Susan Baker ,  Great Granddaughters Christina Escamilla and husband Anthony and Lauren Hammons and husband Matt all of Amarillo, great great grandchildren Christian Hammons Mason Hammons and Anna Escamilla of  Amarillo a niece Betty Wireman of LaVerne, Oklahoma and a nephew Billy Kessler of Grand Island, Nebraska
