Willie Mae McClenton

Willie Mae McClenton, 73, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 18, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery East. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Willie Mae was born on January 11, 1947 in Shamrock, TX to Harvey and Earlene Wren. She married T.W. McClenton Sr. in 1969 and was a member of River of Life Fellowship. Willie Mae was a fantastic cook and she worked for J & M restaurant for over 10 years and also for Carrows restaurant until she retired. She was also a homemaker taking care of her family. She loved animal print clothing and going shopping but her true love was providing for and taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, T.W. McClenton Sr. and three sisters, Katherine Majors, Minnie Thompson and Barbara Ann Wilson.

She is survived by two daughters, LoWanda Trimble and Robbie McClenton; four sons, Bobby Trimble, Alvin Trimble, Kenneth Wayne Trimble and Sgt. T.W. McClenton Jr. and his wife, Rhonda; four sisters, Robbie Wilson, Doris Wilson, Pearlie Woods and Jewelene Patterson; five brothers, Howard Wren, Kenneth Wilson, Donald Hambrick, James Hambrick and Charles Wilson and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members.

Due to COVID-19 and Social Distancing, we will not be providing a meal for the family after the service.
The family is asking that EVERYONE please wear a mask if you are attending the funeral service.
