William Stanley Carver, 73, of Amarillo passed away Monday, December 21, 2020. He was born on April 12, 1947 in Bisbee, Arizona to Edward and Helen Carver.
William was known for being a hardworking man as he worked for Tyson for 29 years then Walmart soon after for 11 years before retiring. He was also a faithful member to Washington Avenue Christian Church and 2 major organizations, Walk to Emmaus and Kairas Outside Prison Ministry. William was a very giving man and always donated to the Wounded Warrior Project whenever the chance would arise.
He enjoyed many things in life and that includes rooting for the Green Bay Packers football team and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He enjoyed the outdoors by doing things like fishing, camping, Barbeques, and vacationing. Some would even say he enjoyed pizza and tacos almost more than anything.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Paul Herschel and his brother-in-law, Tim Herschel.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Carver; his son, Jeremy Carver of Amarillo; his stepson Jason Singleton and his wife Rebecca of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Mariah Reyes of Dallas, Maci Singleton and Myla Singleton both of Amarillo; his sister, Betty Conant of Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Cindy Garcia of Amarillo; his 2 brother-in-laws, Bueford Garcia and Mark Herschel both of Amarillo; his nieces, Mary Polly of Oklahoma, Lacy Garcia of Amarillo, and Rachel Bradford of Amarillo; his nephews, Donnie Conant of Oklahoma, Jix Garcia of Amarillo and Michael Herschel of Amarillo and many more who loved him.
