Warren was born on April 24, 1921 in Booneville, ARK to Charlie and Myrtle Brown. Warren proudly served his country during WWII as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Charline Walsh on December 31, 1945 in Allison, TX. Warren was an avid runner and member of the Amarillo Runners Club. He ran several marathons and 10k's and really enjoyed beating the younger guys in those races. It was a goal of several runners to beat that "Old Man" and they did not feel like they accomplished anything until they finally did. When he was not running, Warren loved hiking and climbing the mountains in Colorado and New Mexico. He also loved photography and was known on several occasions to climb fences to get the picture he wanted. Warren was very involved in his church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, four sisters and two granddaughters and a grandson, Lonnie McLean.

He is survived by his wife, Charline; a daughter, Sandra McLean  and fiance, James Reel of Amarillo; two sons, Terry Brown and wife Karen and Ronnie Brown and wife Debbie, both of Amarillo; a sister Opal Boydston, age 102 of Allison, TX; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family would like to offer their sincerest thanks to the staff of the VA Home Based Health Care for the care and love shown to Warren.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Sunday, April 26, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310. S. Coulter.
