Wanona D. Garris, 70 of Albuquerque, NM passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Albuquerque. Her services will be at 10:30AM on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Scott Davey officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Couter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Rd. Amarillo, TX.
The family will gather for visitation at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Chapel.
Wanona Dodson Garris was born on January 2, 1941 in Matador, Texas to Martin Lynnville Dodson and Ellen Nadine Brock. She attended schools in Amarillo, graduating from Palo Duro High in 1959. Wanona was a member of First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque.
Her survivors include her Daughters, Danice Clounch Riddle and husband Gary of Albuquerque and Teresa (Chris) Clounch Heard and husband Zane of Albuquerque; son, Robert Dean Noland of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Wesley Riddle of Seattle, WA, Sydney and Leah Henry both of Albuquerque; and aunt and uncle, Lonnie and Avis Brock of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials to: The American Lung Association.
