Wanda Ruth Pace, 70 of Amarillo died on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Funeral services will be Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10am at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating.. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel 1505 Martin Road Amarillo, Texas 79107. The family will accept guests and friends Sunday afternoon from 1-5pm at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel.
Wanda Ruth Pace was born March 2, 1946 in Booneville, Mississippi to William and Virginia Hunkapiller. She moved to Amarillo in 1964. Wanda enjoyed cooking, bingo and Nascar racing with her favorite driver, Kyle Busch. She loved taking care of her grandkids and watching over her family.
Wanda is survived by three sons, Troy Lightsey and wife Cynthia of Amarillo, Patrick Lightsey and wife Gina of Broken Arrow, Ok and Brantley Pace and wife Mary of Amarillo; a daughter, Rhonda Vance and husband Mike of Tulsa; two sisters, Wilda and Charlotte Hunkapiller; a brother, Ray Hunkapiller; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry and a sister, Patsy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Plum Creek Nursing Home.
