Wanda Inman Arp

October 24, 1930 - May 15, 2015

Wanda Inman Arp, 84, of Amarillo died on Friday, May 15, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with friends and family testimonies given. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wanda was born on October 24, 1930 in Amarillo to Sam and Annie Inman. She married the love of her life, Aubrey Arp on July 31, 1948 in Georgetown, Texas. Wanda was blessed with a large and loving family. From the very beginning, Wanda and Aubrey adopted two beautiful children, Mike and Sharla. They dedicated their children to God and encouraged them to pass this on from one generation to the next. She loved the Lord. Wanda loved gospel music, taught Sunday School, and was very active in all church functions. She was a wife, mother and ultimate home maker. She was an amazing floral designer and she owned and operated Floral Designs for many years. Her greatest joy was having all of the family come together for special occasions. She was an extremely good cook and baker, putting most chefs to shame, especially with her sugar cookies. She loved and adored her grandkids and great grandkids, spoiling them on every occasion.

Through great endurance and the hope of Heaven, she served the Lord, our Jesus Christ, until the end.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aubrey, a brother, Sam Inman, a sister, Joyce Brown and a grandson, Royal Lee Haddock.

She is survived by a son, Mike Arp and wife Danene; a daughter, Sharla Leggett and husband Gene, both of Amarillo; a brother, Wilford "Sonny" Inman and wife Mary of Houston; a sister, Pat Day, also of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Mandy Arp, Ryan Richie, Tara Feagan and husband Shane, Blake Arp, Austin Arp, Seth Leggett and Sunny Leggett; and five great grandsons, Preston Feagan, Javen Patrick, Jaxon Patrick, Carson Feagan and Kipton Feagan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to: Sanctuary of Hope, c/o JHM, Attn. Partners Dept, P.O. Box 1400, San Antonio, Texas 78295.
