Virginia Smith, 81, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on October the 15th, 2024 in Amarillo.
Virginia was born in Glasgow, Missouri to Orval Tindell and Inez Tindell on July 2nd, 1943. In August of 1963 she married the love of her life. She and Joseph Smith lived 48 years together until his passing in 2011. During her life, she had many passions and talents. She found her calling in the nursing field. She worked in the field for over 30 years. Her faith was a vital component in her life. Gardening was a favorite pastime. She had a green thumb and continued working in her yard until her passing. Cooking was also a favorite pastime of hers as well. She liked to spend time with family. She was strong, independent, and spoke her mind. She was also a loving woman who would do anything she could for anyone in need. She loved her family dearly and had a fulfilling life doing the things she loved. Despite health issues later in life it never stopped her. Her life and legacy will live on.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Smith, her mother and father, her sister Joyce Nelson, her brother James Tindell, and her sister Millie Rogers.
Virginia is survived by her sister Ruth Culver, daughter Belinda Pullen and husband Mike Pullen, son Michael Pullen and wife Whitney Pullen, and their children Payden and Colton. Wesley Pullen and wife Lynn Pullen and their children Skylar, Tristan, Raelynn, and Cash, nephew Harvey Nelson and his children Jeremy Nelson and girlfriend Rebecca and daughter Christie Nelson and boyfriend Steven, nephew Danny Moore and his two daughters, nephew Shawn Culver and his son.
