Vicente Elias Terrones Sr. of Vega, TX was born to Jesus and Consuelo Avalos Terrones in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua on April 13, 1950. Vicente passed away peacefully in Amarillo, TX on April 19, 2023. He immigrated at the age of nine to Denver City, TX and spent most of his career as a farmer in Oldham, County. Vicente married Bertha Terrones on November 4, 1966, in Hereford, Tx. He enjoyed raising cattle, spending time with his family and traveling. His favorite major league baseball team was the Cleveland Indians.
Vicente is preceded in death by parents, Jesus and Consuelo Terrones Avalos; two brothers; Luis and Roberto Salazar; two sisters; Maria Castruyta, and Blanca Salazar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Bertha Lopez Terrones; two sons, Vince Terrones Jr. and wife Juana of Bovina and Sergio Terrones and wife Fabiola of Amarillo; two daughters, Sylvia Ruiz and husband Ignacio, and Cristina Torres and Agustin all of Amarillo; two sisters Martha Salazar of California and Mariaelena Rodriguez of Colorado; two brothers; Jesus Terrones and Antonio Salazar; fourteen grandkids, and twenty-two great grandkids.
