Doyle Mobley, 84, of Amarillo died on Friday, June 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Arena of Life Cowboy Church with Pastor Ty Jones, officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at Citizens Cemetery, Clarendon, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter St., Amarillo, Texas.

Doyle was born on June 16, 1931 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Jim and Essie Gay Mobley. He grew up in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. He married Mary Faye Bolden in Hedey, Texas. He worked as a mechanic for Belmar Exxon.  Doyle was a member of Arena of Life Cowboy Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, a brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his children, Donna Poynor, Larry Mobley and his wife, Lupe, Roy Mobley and Darlene Mobley and Bill Bunton, all of Amarillo; an aunt, Gladys Hollars; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association at 5410 Bell Street #411, Amarillo, TX 79101
