Verlie V. Ditto

Verlie was born on February 10, 1913 in Soper, OK to Willis and Aila Rushing. She married William Frederick Ditto on October 24, 1931 in Paris, TX. She worked tirelessly as a farmer’s wife, gardening and canning most of the family’s food. Verlie served in the church nursery for over 40 years in both Sunray and Amarillo. She participated in the local senior citizen group and the local Parkinson’s support group.
Verlie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; William Ditto in 1987 and her sister, Cora Grant.
She is survived by her sons, Lynn R. Ditto and wife Debra Huffman of Amarillo and William D. Ditto and wife Constance of Amarillo; grandchildren, Patricia Hartman of Dallas and Nancy Ann Ditto of Edmond, OK and Christopher Huffman-Ditto of Wichita Falls, TX and Katherine Huffman-Ditto of Amarillo and 5 great grandchildren, John Edward Gage, Johnathan Gage and Jason Gage of Oklahoma City and Rachel and Mark Hartman of Dallas.
