Venus Marie Skipper, who graced this world with her presence on January 4, 1955, departed from us on May 10, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Venus was a beloved wife to Patrick Skipper, a cherished mother to Vanessa and her husband David, and to her son Joshua. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family to touch the lives of her nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom reside in Amarillo.
Throughout her life, Venus found joy in the simple pleasures that resonated with her soul. Whether immersed in the pages of novels, skillfully cross-stitching works of art, or filling her home with the aroma of freshly baked goods, she embraced each moment with grace and contentment. Her fondness for Betty Boop added a touch of whimsy to her days, but above all else, Venus found utmost happiness in laughter and sharing love with her family.
Venus was born to Clinton W. James and leaves behind beautiful memories for those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter will echo in the hearts of her family and friends as they recall her warmth and kindness.
In this time of mourning, may we find solace in the legacy that Venus leaves behind—a legacy woven with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. Though she may have bid us farewell for now, her spirit will continue to illuminate our lives forevermore.
