Uriel Jose Mendoza Sr.

On April 4, 2025, Uriel Jose Mendoza Sr. also known as “Quate” was called home to be with the lord. Uriel was born on October 3, 1955 in Pecos, Texas to Benito and Guadalupe Mendoza. Uriel lived in Amarillo, Texas with his son Uriel Mendoza Jr.

Uriel was educated in machine operations and construction building and Design. He loved to build and working with his hands.

“Quate” left behind a legacy of having a big heart, and beautiful spirit. His family often referred to him by Best Dad, Favorite Tio (uncle), Strong and awesome Grandpa,

Big-hearted Brother, and a true friend to all who knew him.

“Quate” was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Benito Mendoza, his brothers Isiais, Manuel, Joel, and Blackie Mendoza. Wife Thomasa Chavez, and son Joey.

“Quate” is survived by his children Uriel Jr., Jacquelyn, Mercedes, Ariel, and 20 grandchildren who will cherish his memories. “Quate” is also survived by his twin sister, Soccoro, his sister Adela, and his brothers Mario, Cuitahuac, Roy, and Efrain.
