Tyra Webb Woodard, 46, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Church of Christ at The Colonies with Dick Marcear officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home
Tyra was born June 30, 1965, in Amarillo to Charles and Betty Webb. She grew up in Canyon and graduated from Canyon High School in 1984. She married Mitch Woodard on Aug. 16, 1986, in Canyon.
Tyra was a loving and devoted daughter, wife and mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and especially loved spoiling her grand-children. She was a longtime member of Church of Christ at The Colonies. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was very active in the Golden Spread Emmaus Community. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty, in 2010.
Survivors include her husband, Mitch; two daughters, Courtney and Megan; her father, Charles Webb of Canyon; a sister, Shanna Chavarria and husband Greg of Albuquerque, N.M.; her mother-in-law, Carolyon Woodard of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Jayleigh and Grayson Gossett; and two nieces, Rachel Assiter and Erika Chavarria.
The family suggests memorials to Church of Christ at The Colonies, 4500 Wesley Road, Amarillo, TX 79119; or Golden Spread Emmaus Community, 5015 Wesley Road, Amarillo, TX 79106.
