Troy L. Jackson, 47, of Amarillo departed from this life on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 11:00 am, Saturday November 10, 2018 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

Troy was born on March 15, 1971 in Colby, Kansas to Gene and Donna Jackson. As a young boy he moved with his family to Nebraska where he grew up. He married the love of his life, Crystal Dawn on May 6, 1994 in Grand Island, Nebraska. They moved with their family to Amarillo in 1996 where he was co-owner of Novak & Jackson Steel Erectors with James Novak. He was an avid Nebraska Corn Husker Fan, he enjoyed playing cards especially poker and loved listening to his niece, Nichole, play the guitar and sing for him but being a pawpee to his grandkids he loved more than anything. Troy never met a stranger, he was a wonderful man who loved his family and friends deeply. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Jackson, his brother, Rick Jackson and his nephew, Ethan Eckstrom.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 24 years, Crystal Dawn Jackson; children, Whitney Woods, and husband, Anthony, Mackenzie Fernandes, Lacey Jackson and Troy "Tootie" Jackson and Madeline Ramos; grandchildren, Devin Swain Jr., Aryana Fernandes,Javon Woods Paiyson Woods, Abbie Jackson, Tristian Woods, T.J. and Elijah Lynn; mother, Donna Eckstrom and husband, Roy; sister, Lisa Eckstrom and husband, Andy; extended family, Janis Roberts and husband, Jerry, Larry Duckett and wife, Kathy, Darla Finley and husband, Donnie, Dedra Morris, DeLynn Steele and husband, Jason, Brent Duckett and wife Hollie; and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will receive guests on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
