Tony John Delgado, 65, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in Amarillo, TX. He was born on February 23, 1959, in Amarillo, TX, to Ida and Joe Delgado.
He worked in maintenance, sometimes traveling for his job. He was a self-taught mechanic and loved his Dodge Dart. He loved to play pool and belonged to a pool club. He also enjoyed helping people and was very particular about a lot of things, especially his clothing. He was a very tidy man. He would say his greatest accomplishment was his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Joe Delgado, and his niece, Amanda Delgado and his nephews, Michael Delgado and Thomas Delgado.
He is survived by his mother Ida Delgado and his six children. They are: Anica Delgado-Herrera and her three children, Isaac, Zacarias and Jakob; Nancy (Ivan) Chacon and her three children, Ivan Jr. and his two children Leo and Lulu Chacon, Mia, and Aden; Tony Delgado and his two girls, Kayla and Kinsly Delgado; Johnathon (Alannah) Delgado and their children, Julian and Madeleine; Meagan (Steven) Carathers and their two children, Kaiden and Leighton Carathers; and Matthew Delgado. He is also survived by his siblings: Mario Delgado, Danny (Joyce) Delgado, Albert Delgado, and Cecelia Kerr and five nieces and nephews.
A favorite verse of Tony’s was John 14:1. “Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.” (NKJV) .
