Tommy Lynn Shannon, 60, of Amarillo left to be with the lord on Tuesday Dec 18.
He was born in Amarillo to parents Roy and Zona Shannon on January 3, 1952. He married his true love Sylvia Shannon on March 18, 2004. Tommy was a true family man. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Uncle to many, many family members. Known as Dad, PaPa, and Uncle Tom, he cared for each and all of the family and friends he had. Tommy was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in many different fields such as carpentry, roofing, and as an electrician. He loved working with his hands. His Heart of Gold and comical behavior will be remembered and missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. - 7p.m. Thursday December 20, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. 1505 Martin Road.
FUNERAL SERVICES: 11am Friday December 21, 2012 at Generation Next Church 3503 SW 6th Avenue with Pastor Tommy Fulgham and Chaplain Ken Haney officiating.
