Thuong Thi Nguyen

Thuong Thi Nguyen, 75, of Amarillo, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.  Additional visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Evening Mass at 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.  The service will be 10:00 am Monday, May 22, 2023, at Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church at 2001 N. Grand St. Amarillo, TX.

Thuong was born on April 6, 1948, in Vietnam.  Her parents were Tho Van Nguyen and Pham Thi Mau.  She attended Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church and was very strong in her faith as well as being a very strong-willed housewife.  She raised her four children alone for 20 years in Vietnam before joining her husband Huong Pham in the United States.

She is survived by her children, Trang Pham, Thao Pham (Loan Quach), Lynh Pham (Tuan Tran), and Vu Pham (Linh Nguyen).  Her ten grandchildren are Phi, Phong, Nhung, Phuong, Dominic, Joseph, Thomas, Cecilia, Peterson, and Mary.  She is also survived by her two great-granddaughters, Emma and Ella.
