Thongla Saysana, 88, of Amarillo died on Monday, October 13, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, October 17, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Pastor Boon Vongsurith of the Laotian congregation of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Thongla Saysana was born on August 23, 1926 in Vientiane, Laos. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking walks and watching soap operas. Thongla especially enjoyed spending time with her family and made sure that the family was always together every Sunday.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kham Saysana.
She is survived by three daughters; Chiengkham Sengphongphanh and husband Chanh, Khamphan Breithaupt and husband Steve, both of Amarillo and Douangchanh Khamsomphou and husband Bernard of Hereford; two sons, Viengkeo Saysana and wife Dalone and Sombath Saysana, both of Amarillo; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
