Thongkhoune Phommavong, 65, of Amarillo, died on Monday, May 23, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 Saturday, May 28, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Thongkhoune was born on July 2, 1950 in Laos to Phong and Kham Phommavong. He married Onekeo Kongmanivong on February 2, 1973 in Laos. He worked for Affiliated Foods Inc. in Quality Control. He will be remembered as a patient, kind and generous man who was always willing to help others without expecting anything in return.
He is survived by his wife, Onekeo Phommavong; a daughter, Thiam Phommavong; sons, Bouasavanh Phommavong and Johnny B. Phommavong; two brothers and three sisters.
