Thomas "Tom" Edward Dyer II, 58, of Amarillo passed from this life on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Trinity Fellowship Church West Auditorium, 5000 Hollywood Road, with Pastor Dale Moreland officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.
Tom was born on February 26, 1960 in Placerville, California to Thomas E. and Barbara S. Dyer. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he served his county proudly. He married the love of his life, Elma on March 19, 1994 in Amarillo. He served as a Federal Agent with the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration and Office of Secure Transportation for 31 years, retiring in February 2017. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church.
His most special moments were spending time with his three grandchildren. He was a proud father. Tom will be remembered for always being able to make people laugh and his willingness to share his love of God with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Elma Dyer; his parents, Thomas and Barbara Dyer; son, Chris Amason; daughter, Melanie Cambern and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Grayson and Sonora Cambern; siblings,Mary Van Dorn, Steve Dyer, Sue Ashford, Erik Dyer and wife Joyce Starks and Chris Dyer; brothers in law, Art Mata and Lokey Mata and wife Lorrene; sisters in law, Sylvia Lovelett and husband Steve and Linda Rexrode and husband Kelly; nephews and nieces, Brent, Amy, Jason, Brian, Nick, Mitchell, Jayden, Loren, Beth Angel, Erika, Brandon, Steve, Josh, Holly and Jennifer.
The family will receive guests from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
