Theresa M. Brewer, 85 of Amarillo died on Monday, August 15, 2016. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Martin Road Chapel with Rev. Harold Brewer and Jason Brewer, her son and grandson officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Theresa was born on October 23, 1930 in NewBrunswick, New Jersey. She married James Brewer in New Brunswick and they later moved to Amarillo. Theresa worked in the cafeteria at Northwest Texas Hospital as a line cook. She retired after 20 years. She later worked for Park Central Retirement Center in the dining area serving the residents. She loved working in her yard cutting her grass or weeding her flowers. Theresa loved her family and caring for the residents she will be missed by all who know and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Brewer, a daughter, Darlene Brewer, two sons, David Matthew Brewer and James Michael Brewer.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Brewer and wife, Monica, Harold Brewer and wife Deania, and Glenn Brewer; brothers, Frank Biscotto, Vince Biscotto and Nick Biscotto; a sister Maria Lubawaki; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home
