With our deepest condolences and love, we announce the passing of Than Than Sit, a remarkable woman whose kindness, strength, and selflessness touched countless lives. She was born on May 12, 1974, in Myanmar to Daw Kaw and Oo Ba Than, and from an early age, she carried a heart full of love and a spirit full of resilience.
Than Than Sit was a caring wife to Htay Win and a loving mother to her three sons, Min Htut, Min Aung, and Zin Aung. She welcomed her daughters-in-law, Win Tra and Thin Ei Ei Phyo, as her own and poured endless love into her six grandchildren, who brought her unlimited joy. Her family was her greatest pride, and she devoted her life to ensuring their happiness and success.
Her heart knew no limits when it came to caring for others. Whether it was standing courageously for the freedom of Myanmar, offering a helping hand to those in need even when she was exhausted, or working tirelessly to give her children every opportunity, Than Than Sit always put others before herself. Her sacrifices were silent but immeasurable through long nights of work, days spent comforting the weary, and years of unwavering support for those she loved. She never sought recognition for her kindness; she simply gave because that was who she was.
To know her was to be embraced by warmth and love. She had a way of making everyone feel special, of lifting spirits with her gentle words and steady presence. She was a light in the lives of so many, and though she is no longer with us, her love remains woven into the hearts of those she left behind.
Than Than Sit was more than just a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend—she was a guiding force, a warrior, and a beacon of love. She will be missed beyond words, but her legacy of kindness, courage, and selflessness will live on forever.
Rest in peace, our beloved Than Than Sit. You gave so much to this world, and now, may you find the peace and rest you so deeply deserve.
