Terry Lynn Myers, 73, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025. Born on November 14, 1951, in Memphis, Texas, Terry was the son of Lester Carol and Lou Ella Myers.

Terry graduated from Tascosa High School in 1970. He married Shirley Branum on January 1, 1971. Two years later, in 1973, Terry enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his service, he excelled as a Precision Measuring Equipment Specialist, working on sophisticated instruments such as the mass spectrometer. While serving, he pursued his passion for numbers, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University. Terry and Shirley were married for 17 years and had two daughters, Allison Brooke and Kimberly Beth.

After completing his military service in 1977, Terry began a successful career in computer programming at NCR. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found McCoy Myers in 1980, a pioneer banking software company.

Terry fell in love with and married Wendy Leigh Stevens on July 24, 1988. During 36 years of marriage, they built a beautiful life, raising their daughter, Jennifer Leigh, alongside Allie and Kimmie, and sharing their passions of travel, camping, and family.

Terry was a generous tutor to family members, often sharing his knowledge to help them succeed academically. Later in life, he dedicated himself to fixing sewing machines, going to the grocery store, and being retired.

A man of many passions, Terry enjoyed traveling, camping, backpacking, geocaching, cooking, and solving his quiz games. Above all, he cherished his family, finding immense joy in time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Wendy Myers; his children, Allison Williams, Kimberly Myers-Chattha and her husband, Amar Chattha, and Jennifer Wolfe and her husband, Chast; his grandchildren, Anna Williams, Evie Williams, Jack Chattha, Hagen Wolfe, and Berlynn Wolfe; his brother, Jimmy Myers and his wife, Janice; and his sister, Kathy Finley and her husband, Brent.

A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Terry’s life.
