Teresa Joyce Alexander, 55, of Amarillo died on Friday, February 13, 2015. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Pastor Ken Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Teresa Joyce “Tippy” Alexander was born on March 24, 1959 in Amarillo to Aaron Andrew Alexander and Inez (Thompson) Alexander. She was the third child of seven. “Tippy” as she was affectionately called accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Wyatt Memorial Methodist Church. She was employed at Source H.D.V. for 10 years. Teresa loved to read and listen to old school music. She also loved to shop and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all, Teresa loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and her baby brother, Terry Terrell Alexander and two nephews, Michael Alexander Jr. and Raymond Darnes.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters, Dolores Ann Darnes of Amarillo, Janie Marie Alexander of Oklahoma City and Carolyn Alexander of Guthrie, OK; two brothers, Michael Alexander Sr. of Amarillo and Tony Berrell Alexander, of Yukon, OK; a very special heaven-sent friend/sister, Patricia Ann Shepherd of Amarillo and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.
