Socorro Hernandez

Socorro Hernandez, age 89, of Vicente Guerrero Durango, Mexico, passed away on March 2, 2024, in Amarillo, TX. She was born on June 27, 1934. Socorro was a beloved homemaker who found joy in cooking, gardening, and spending time with her growing family.

She is survived by her children: Jesus Angel Hernandez, Guadalupe Garza, Socorro Ordaz, Alicia Lara, Ana Hernandez, and Marina Hernandez all of Amarillo, TX; Jose Luis Hernandez and Nena Hernandez of Roswell, NM; Maria del Consuelo Hernandez of Monterrey, Mexico; Sylvia Hernandez of Goshen, IN; Angelica Hernandez of Memphis, TN. Socorro is also survived by over 47 grandchildren, over 55 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ponciano "Chanito" Hernandez, her husband Ponciano Hernandez, and her son Ponciano "Chano" Hernandez of Roswell, NM.

Socorro Hernandez will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love she shared with her family.
