Sharen Kay Witzke, 55 of Amarillo died on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Aaron Benson, officiating. Burial will follow at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S Coulter Street.
Sharen was born on June 11, 1960 in Liberal, Kansas to David and Ruth Witzke. She grew up in Liberal where she graduated from high school. She married Demetrio Galvan Jr. and later married Eric Phommyvong. Sharen moved to Texas in 1976 where she raised her children. She attended Arden Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Larry Witzke.
She is survived by her children, Shaun Galvan and his wife, Melissa, Michael Galvan and his wife, Laura, all of Amarillo, and Britani Phommyvong of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, Rodney Witzke, of Amarillo, and Jim Witzke, of Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Linda Kowing and her husband, Greg, of Dumas; grandchildren, Shaun Galvan, Adrian Galvan, Cadence Galvan, Josiah Lira, Kenley Boehm, and Brian Boehm, all of Amarillo.
