Jeffrey Scott Murdock, 59, of Amarillo, walked into the arms of The Lord, Saturday, August 13, 2022.
Scott was born September 7, 1962, to Bobby and Patsy Murdock. He graduated from Caprock High School, where he was a varsity football player. He worked in the transportation field most of his life and at the time of his illness, was the Director of Operations at Plains Transportation. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Scott and Marcia enjoyed the many happy years they had together. They loved to dance and work on remodeling projects. He was grateful for her selfless care and compassion as they faced his illness. He loved hanging out with his family, helping his kids, riding his Harley Davidson, NASCAR races, and hard work. He looked forward to the birth of his grandson more than almost anything, and grieved his inability to be the kind of grandfather that he always imagined he would be.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bobby Gene Murdock and Patsy Ann Murdock.
He is survived by the love of his life, Marcia Murdock; daughter, Lisa Greenhouse; son, Jay Murdock; grandson, Case Greenhouse; step-mother, Donna Murdock of Odessa; Mother-in-Law, Irene Trotter; siblings, Dyann Bartlett and husband, Mike, of Canyon, Carla Harless and husband Dan, of Odessa, Victor Wilkins and wife Patty, Karen Moore and husband David, Shelly Henry and husband Randy of Houston, and David Murdock and wife Kathy of Cypress; several nieces and nephews; and brother in Christ, Cecil Carpenter.
