Sarswatiben Patel, 93, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Prayer services will be at 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 29, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, September 30, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Sarswatiben Patel was born on February 11, 1926 in India to Jivanjibhai and Ralyatben Patel. She was a school teacher for over thirty years teaching Gujarati. She loved to read and interact with the children and her family. She was a great cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Sombhai.

She is survived by her four sons, Avanindrakumar Patel and his wife Ranjanben, Anandkumar Patel and wife Indumatiben, Anantkumar Patel and Ashokkumar Patel and wife Daxaben; six grandchildren, Pragna R. Bhakta and husband Rakeshkumar, Jayant A. Patel and wife Nisha, Sonal A. Patel, Bhadresh A. Patel and wife Nikita, Naeha P. Sur and husband Rishi and Dhruv A. Patel and fiance Nidhi Patel and five great grandchildren, Nikhil, Jaya, Anjali, Sahil and Sanjana.
