Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 PM Monday Mar. 4th at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors
Santos Aguilar "PoPo" Flores was born on November 1, 1948 to Antonio and Maria Flores in El Porvenir Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to Brownfield, where he grew up and graduated high school. Santos moved to Amarillo in 1971 and attended Amarillo College. He also went to Texas State Technical Institute for underwater welding. Mr. Flores worked for Energas for 8 years and 11 years at Tyson Foods as a Forklift Operator. He married Paula Angela Flores on September 21, 2002 and was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. Santos loved playing dominoes, pool, horseshoes and fishing. He liked music and dancing and could be often found dancing across the dance floor and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Santos was an avid gardener and liked doing cook-outs with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who were touched by his life. Mr. Flores was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Maria Flores as well as his brothers Antonio Flores, Jr. and Ramon Flores.
Survivors include his wife Paula Flores of Amarillo; his daughter India Rodriguez of Amarillo; five sons, Juan Rodriguez, Steven Rodriguez, Santos Flores, Jr., Rolando Garza and Orlando Garza all of Amarillo; three sisters, Janie Flores Garcia, Carlotta Flores Favela both of Amarillo and Margaret Flores Elizardo of El Paso. Santos also had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
