Ryan Dale Neese

Ryan Dale Neese, 48, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on November 19, 2021.

Ryan was born on October 16, 1973 in Albuquerque, NM to parents Donnie and Paula Neese.  After Ryan graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1992, he attended South Plains College and New Mexico State University before starting his career as an engineer with the Southern Pacific Railroad which later merged with the Union Pacific RR.  Ryan was a natural on the rails and was one of the best “hogheads” around.  When conductors were called out with him, they knew it would be a fun time and an easy smooth ride because of his skills.

While he was a natural railroader, being a salesman was his true calling because he was such a people person.  Ryan never met a stranger which made his time at Pete’s Car Smart Kia such an impactful one.

On the first day of his sophomore year in high school, Ryan met the love of his life, Kyle.  While their marriage didn’t stand the test of time, their relationship/friendship did and Brady, the light of his life, was born from it.  Until the day he passed away, Ryan was in love with Kyle and they were the best of friends.

Brady has many of Ryan’s exceptional qualities including a kind heart, beautiful smile, desire to win at card games and to be the best he can be in whatever he is doing.

Ryan loved the lake, having fun, being around his friends and family and teaching Brady how to play cards and gamble.  He truly thought the more people that were around the better.

Ryan is preceded in death by his brother, Beau, grandparents; Leonard Vourazeris, Anne and Steve Trigg and Duck and Mary Helen Neese, and uncles; John Vourazeris and Steve Foote.

He is survived by his son; Brady Neese; parents; Donnie and Paula Neese; brother and sister in law; Joe Bair and Leaja Neese, aunts and uncles; Sonja Foote, Chris Vuras, Mike and Dawn Vourazeris, Dale and Margaret Neese, nieces and nephews; Riley, Caden, Mariah and Trustin Ashcraft, and Hadley Ashcraft, and cousins; Dana, John, Josh, Jacob, Melissa Suman, and Saige.

A memorial service for Ryan will be held at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home at 8310 S. Coulter Street in Amarillo on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm.   Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in Tucumcari, NM at Tucumcari Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, a benefit fund has been set up at Amarillo National Bank for Brady Neese.
