Ruth White

Eva "Ruth" White, 89, of Amarillo died on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Funeral services be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road. A private family burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.

Ruth was born on March 6, 1926 in Tolbert, Texas to George W. and Mildred (Mowery) Foster. She married James T. White on June 19, 1947 in Vernon, Texas. Ruth was a homemaker where she was a  great cook and loved to sew. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, a brother R.L. Foster, two sisters, Margie Early and Dorthia Hamilton, a daughter in law, Debbie White, and a son in law, Don Allison.

She is survived by daughters, Kathie Allison, and Barbara Fielding and her husband, Monte; son, James White, all of Amarillo; brother in law, Troy White, Dodd City; sister in law, Fran Foster, Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Kim Fielding, Melissa Root, Dana Hatchett, Erin Cairns, DeeDee Ison, Kelley Fielding, and Amanda Brookhaus; 15 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
