Her children rise up and they call her Blessed. Ruth Cagle Levitt of Amarillo, born to Jim and Ethel Williams on January 27, 1917 in Clarksville, TX, passed away and entered her Heavenly Home on July 31, 2015. Graveside services will be at 10:30 am, Monday, August 3, 2015 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Van McNeece of Hillside Christian Church Canyon officiating.
She was preceded by her parents and a brother Chester Williams.
Ruth spent her life always wanting and willing to lend a helping hand....She was an excellent cook and it gave her great pleasure to make her special stew and cornbread for all to share. She loved to sew and her family and friends are gifted with beautiful quilts.
Most of her ninety eight years were spent loving and caring for her family, her only child Betty and husband Joe McCutchen of Amarillo, grandchildren Starla McCutchen of Amarillo, Karen and Gary Pope of Claude, Kyle and Sheryl McCutchen of Gilbert, AZ and Stephanie and Mark Lowther of Frisco, nine great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. Her sister Louise Minter of Mesquite, brother Gaston and wife Joyce Williams of Amarillo and numerous precious nieces and nephews.
Faithfully loving our Lord Jesus, Ruth showed His heart of love to everyone she encountered. She is at rest and free of pain, and we cherish the sweet memories we shared.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 5:45 pm, Sunday, August 2, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:45 - 7:00 pm in which everyone is invited to stay.
