Services will be held Saturday August 24th at 11am in Amarillo, Texas at Lagrone - Blackburn - Shaw Funeral Home 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, Texas 79119. Graveside to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday August 23rd from 4-6pm.
Ruth Iona F. Boston departed from this life to join her parents, brothers and sisters, along with her husband E. Andrew Boston, son Robert E. Boston, and daughter Martha Elaine Boston Pinales this past Tuesday August 20th, 2013, she blessed us with 96 years.
Ruth is survived by her granddaughters Carina, Deana, Shannon Pinales of San Marcos, Texas, as well as great grandson Jupiter Horn and son in law Phillip Pinales. She also leaves nieces, Evelyn, Betty Rose, Lois, Wanda, nephews Charles, and Lynn, along with numerous other nephews, nieces and cousins.
Those privileged to know her, knew of her honor, respect, kindness, her loyalty in faith, and gentle nature. Born November 21st, 1916 in Happy, Texas she resided Amarillo for most of her years, while being a dedicated wife, mother, and bookkeeper at Williams Boyce Insurance Agency for nearly forty years. She enjoyed the beauty of her flowers and the integrity of her garden as she found pleasure in her plants at home. In faith she was a loyal child of God and and example to all.
We appreciate flowers as she loved irises but in lieu of flowers we ask for donations towards memorial expenses.
