Ruby Z. Maguire, 74 of Canyon, died on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangement are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.
Ruby was born on January 18, 1941 in Mulhall, Oklahoma to Marcus and Agnes Harris. As a young girl she moved to California with her family where she grew up and later she moved to Canyon, Texas in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Charles Harris and Pete Harris.
She is survived by her children, Norman Weathersbee, Julie Houchin and Ray Maguire; brothers, George Harris and Mark Harris, both of Anderson, California; 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
