He also won many awards as a sharpshooter while in the Air Force. He enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He loved to play chess and poker and as a young man, he loved singing and being involved in plays. He especially loved the Beatles and good old rock and roll. He was religious and spiritual and taught his children about God. “Rolly” loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He had a big heart and always saw the good in people and wanted all to be happy. He joked around a lot and loved to laugh and be happy. His grandchildren lovingly called him “Papa.” Roy was known for his sense of humor with his quirky sayings and always making those around him laugh and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
