Rosa Lena Maloney

Rosa was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Deaf Smith County to Finner and Maggie Jackson. She lived in Amarillo most of her life.  Rosa married Louis Maloney on Feb. 14, 1946, in Amarillo. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church for many years, where she loved her church family very much.  Rosa enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles and writing poetry. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and a daughter, Deborah Catherall.
Survivors include two sons, Louis E. Maloney Jr. and wife Anita of Fritch and Ron Maloney and wife Kathy of Amarillo; a daughter, Maggie Maloney and partner Vicki of Amarillo; a sister, Janie Moore and husband Ralph of Amarillo; a brother, Jimmy Jackson of Amarillo; a son-in-law, Robert Catherall of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Jackie, Mary, Chris and Morgan; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Devlin and Merideth.
The family suggests memorials be to Grand Avenue Baptist Church, 904 N. Grand St., Amarillo, TX 79107.
