Ronald Lynn Sasser, Sr., 65, of Amarillo, TX, formerly of Spearman, TX died April 2, 2020. A private family burial will be Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Ronnie was born in Dumas on January 10, 1955 to Raymond and Evelyn Sasser.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Sasser in 2010, and by his parents.
Survivors include his sons, Tommy Sasser and wife Ethelyn, of Grand Prairie, TX and Ronald Sasser, Jr. of Amarillo, TX; siblings, Richard Sasser, of Spearman, TX, Sherry Harper and husband Paul, of Amarillo, TX, Deon Sasser and wife Neva, of King George, VA, Vicki McNeir and husband David, of Amarillo, TX, and Tammy Brian and husband Tommy, of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Jordan Austin, Briana Sasser, Kailey Sasser, Lheanna Kelsey, Ryan Sasser, Deven Sasser, and MaKayla Sasser, as well as the grandchildren he raised as his own, Trey Drinkard and Angel Oliver.
Ronnie retired from Animal Health International in January 2020. He was an avid Nascar and Dallas Cowboys fan, a cornhole and 42 shark, and an incredibly talented welder and woodworker. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and target shooting, and his family enjoyed doing all of these with him. He will be remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor, his work ethic, and especially for the way he loved his family. His sisters knew how much he loved them by how he beamed when they walked in the room.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2020 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Chapel 8310 S. Coulter St, Amarillo, Texas.
