Ronny McCuistion, 58, of Amarillo died on Friday, May 22, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Hillside Christian Church Chapel with Pastor Mike Nuthman officiating. Burial will follow in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Ronny was born on January 3, 1957 in Amarillo to Ray and Jean McCuistion. He graduated from Palo Duro High School and proudly served his country in the Army while stationed in Germany. Ronny married Mary Hensley on January 22, 1982 in Amarillo. Ronny worked for Nobel/Sysco and Ben E. Keith as a truck driver.
Ronny loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, practical jokes and Texas Red Dirt music. He also loved to go fishing in Colorado and New Mexico, old western and war movies and talking politics. Ronny loved the Lord and was a member of Hillside Christian Church where he always helped as a server. Ronny loved his family and will be greatly missed by them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Gina Chavez and husband Robert; a son, Josh McCuistion; a sister, Barbara McCuistion; his grandson, Vincent Chavez, all of Amarillo and his mother-in-law, Nancy Satterfield of Jones, OK.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
