Ronald Dee Allen

Ronald Dee Allen 73, of Clovis NM died November 6th, 2023, in Amarillo, TX. Ronald was born November 27th, 1949, in Amarillo, TX to Delbert Allen and Kewpie Craig. He married Phuy Phai Sonkanam on July 4th, 1972. He served 22 years in the United States Air Force, where he started as a Munitions Systems Specialist during the Vietnam War, later moved to Safety, and retired as an SMSGT. After retiring from the Air Force, he taught History at Choices Alternative School. Ron was easily remembered by his vociferous reciprocity with anyone willing to entertain his attention, and if they did so, were rewarded with profound warmness and humor. He was always there to help anyone day or night, and often with an outright refusal to accept anything for his help. This sprung from his never-ending belief that we all try to do the best we can for each other. He was a doting husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Allen, in October of 2020. Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Phuy Phai Allen of Clovis NM, son Lonnie Allen grandson Ian Allen of Denver CO, mother Kewpie Bay, brother Olan Bay of Amarillo TX, sister Darla Thorne of Lindale TX, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
