Roma H. Harris, 82 of Amarillo passed away on March 5, 2012.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter with Dale Travis, Pastor of Family Life Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Harris was born March 15, 1929 in Claude. She loved children and served as head cook at Rolling Hills Elementary for many years. She was a great cook and made the best spudnuts. Roma also loved the Lord with all of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Harris; her mother, Harriet Parsley; and two sisters, Beth Clower and Barbara (Sug) Johnson.
Survivors include her four children, Gary Harris and wife Sharon of Amarillo, Trishia Bassett and husband Ron of Granbury, Terry Harris and wife Karen of Amarillo and Rex Harris and wife Debby of Amarillo; two sisters, Brownie Jester and LaVonda Slaughter; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Joe and Betty Barreras at Heavenly Angels for the amazing love and care they provided.
