Rodolfo "Rudy" Minjarez

Rodolfo "Rudy" Minjarez, 83 of Amarillo passed away on August 11, 2011. Holy Rosary will be at 6:00pm Sunday, August 14, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX with Deacon David Duenes. Graveside services will be at 11:00am on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia, TX with Pastor Gilbert Del Toro officiating.
Mr. Minjarez was born on September 25, 1927 in Bronte, TX to Cipriano and Guillerma Minjarez. He grew up in Tulia and farmed there for many years. He also worked at Tulia Bowling Parts. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Olivia Minjarez, his parents and a brother, Armando Minjarez.
His survivors include six daughters; Nelda Torres of San Angelo, Marian Quintanilla of Salem, OR, Patricia Gomez of Amarillo, Wilma Vega of Lubbock, Elizabeth Esquievel of Amarillo, Gracie Franks of Amarillo, two sons Rudy Minjarez, Jr. of Amarillo and Rene Minjarez of Amarillo, 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, seven sisters and two brothers.
