Roberto Pena, 62 of Amarillo passed away on January 10, 2012.
Rosary will be at 6:30 pm on Friday January 13, 2012 at
LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road
with Deacon Pablo Morales officiating.
Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at
St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring with
Father Gabriel Garcia officiating. Burial at Llano Cemetery
Mr. Pena was born on March 7, 1949 in Madera Chihuhahua, Mexico to Ricardo Pena Ochoa and Guadalupe Parra. He married Florinda, the love of his life, in 1978. Roberto retired in April of 2011 after working for over twenty years as a truck driver for Tyson Foods. Some of the things he enjoyed was camping, WWE wrestling, building things and old cowboy movies and cartoons like Tom & Jerry. He loved spending time with his family. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Florinda; four daughers, Susana Carrillo and husband Jorge, Irene G. Pena, Nellie Alcorta, and Rosemary Alcorta all of Amarillo; two sons, Martin Pena and wife Sulema of Dumas and Luis G. Alcorta of Amarillo; two sisters, Margarita Parra and Rosario Parra; one brother, Sergio Parra and 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
