Roberto Sanchez Castillo

Roberto Castillo, 72, of Amarillo, died October 2, 2021. Services will be held at St Martin Church, at 1507 N Adams, Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 2:00pm with Father Rex Nichol officiating. A rosary will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Lagrone Blackburn Shaw, 1505 Martin Rd, at 6:00pm.

Roberto was a great man with a big heart that loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a stubborn but generous man.  He enjoyed working on cars and was a jack of all trades. He was not a materialistic man. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and also enjoyed watching westerns of TV. He was known as Bobby Bear to many.

He is survived by six daughters, Misty Deras and husband Antonio, Kristie Castillo, Michelle Gallegos, Roberta Gallegos, Cherie Salazar and husband Adrian, and Sarah Castillo, all of Amarillo; three sisters, Helda Gonzales, Rosa Castillo, and Estella Perez, all of Amarillo; a brother, Arturo Castillo, of Amarillo; and thirty-three grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Angel Archuleta, Felix Castillo, Tomas Castillo, Roque Castillo Jr., Alverto Castillo, Elena Perez, Eloisa Castillo, and Domingo Castillo.
