Robert Sandberg was born to Harry and Violet Sandberg on November 15, 1932 in Elgin, IL. He was a 30 year resident of Texas, a place he always wanted to live and always sang about. He was a police officer in his home town of Elgin for many years. He was a combat veteran of the Korean War. “Bob” was an accomplished musician and gun smith all of his life. His great loves were his family, Jesus, music and animals and he loved to talk to people.
Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 55 years, a son, Bradley and wife Martha Sandberg of Wisconsin, a daughter, Gina Sandberg of Wisconsin, his grandson, Sean Sandberg of Amarillo, Emmy Sandberg Gubbins, Sgt. Will Sandberg and Sonja Sandburg all of Wisconsin. Also several great-grandchildren and friends.
