Robert Lee Powers Jr., 70, of Amarillo died on Saturday, February 27, 2016. No services are planned at this time.
Robert was born on October 23, 1945 in Amarillo to Robert and Kathleen Powers. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1964 and then went to barber college. He was a barber for over 10 years and then owned several businesses and worked in several different careers. He loved to paint and listen to music. His love of music led him to owning record stores on 6th street. Robert also loved working in his yard and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn and his son, Robert Powers III and wife Toni, both of Amarillo; a sister, Melody Leak and husband Rocky of Saginaw; an uncle, Norman McGill of Canyon; an aunt, Shirley Parrish and husband Gary of Groom; five grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
