Robert "Bob" Earl Horn

December 11, 1941 — September 22, 2018

Robert "Bob" Earl Horn, 76, passed from this world into the loving arms of Jesus on September 22, 2018.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11:00 am in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

Bob was born December 11, 1941 in Selma, Alabama to Frank and Edna (Oglesby) Horn.

Bob married Karla Bailey on January 1, 1991 in Lubbock, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years and did four tours in Vietnam. Bob worked at the V.A. Medical Center in California and Amarillo for a total of 24 years. He retired as the Chief of Police at the Amarillo V.A.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank Horn.

Those left to cherish his memory are his bride of 28 years, Karla Horn, of the home; his six children, Stephany Gervasi of Amarillo, Frank Horn and wife Julie of Tooele, Utah Shannon Friese and husband Brian of Dumas, Kyler Horn and wife Rebecca of Amarillo, Kolton Horn and wife, Caitlyn of Amarillo and Keegan Horn of the home. Bob is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Panhandle Paws of Hope, P.O. Box 2525, Amarillo, Texas, 79105.
